Book Review: The Grimm Diaries: Snow White Blood Red by Cameron Jace

Shelby Mathison, Staff Writer

There is always two sides to every story. The Grimm Diaries: Snow White Blood Red by Cameron Jace exposes the unheard side of the story Snow White by giving the “Evil Queen’s” point of view of what happened. This book will leave readers wondering who they are to believe, the fairytale that everyone has heard for years or this unfamiliar fable they just encountered?

Normally, it takes me about a week to a week and a half to read a book. This book took me one afternoon to read from start to finish. It has left m contemplating whether it is good over evil or rather evil over good.

The book starts out slow because of the background information being described, but picks up the pace as the story goes on.

If you pay close attention to minor details, this book will be an easy read. I recommend this book to readers who are fascinated with fairytale with a modern twist. However, due to minor details that help build the story line, I do not recommend this book to skim readers because they will miss the information needed to follow the story.
