Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Movie Review

Haley Williams, Reporter

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, starring Megan Fox and Will Arnett, is an action comedy movie that you must see. The turtles, Leonardo, Rafael, Michaelanglo, and Donatello face off against Shredder for the final time to save the city from a man-created disease.

The setting, taking place in New York, seems dark and mysterious but with the turtles, it becomes light and comedic. Every time the scene would get really intense Michaelanglo or one of the more serious turtles would crack a joke. And with the them being teenagers, they would definitely act like teenager while trying to save the city.

The Turtles meet up with the young and hopeful reporter April O’Neil, expertly portrayed by Megan Fox, and discover the truth about their past and how they became the freakishly huge talking turtles. But by the time they find out their original purpose as “lab rats”, they are already making plans to defeat one of their original creators.

Jonathan Lopez, sophomore and long time fan of the turtles, saw the movie the weekend it came out. He claims it’s hilarious, and his new favorite movie.

”It’s so funny, and the best movie of 2014, well, ever in my opinion,” Lopez said.

This movie not only attracts the male audience, but also the girls. Junior Sara Armes went to see this movie with her family before school started. She also had positive feedback on it.
“It had me at the edge of my seat the entire time,” Armes said.

After watching the movie myself, I have to agree with Lopez and Armes . Next tine you and your friends are wanting something to do or you want to see a movie, this would be one you wouldn’t regret.
