Cheer Tryouts and Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting are Approaching


After a successful season for the Lufkin High School and Lufkin Middle School cheerleading squads, ‘tis the season to start recruiting new cheerleaders for the 2013-2014 school year.

Flyers around the entire campus have been posted to inform prospective and returning cheerleaders that tryouts for the 2013-2014 school year are approaching.

Current students in 7th through 11th grade are allowed to tryout for the cheerleading squads.

A mandatory parent and student meeting will be held on Monday, January 28th or on Wednesday, January 30th.

Parents and cheerleading hopefuls are required to attend one of these mandatory meeting if they wish to tryout for the squad. Cheer Packets will be distributed at both meetings.

There will be no tryouts for the LHS Mascot. Mascots are determined by Student Council and council participation.
