Lufkin High School’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America sponsors are coordinating this year’s Trick or Trot run to raise money for the organization.

This year’s run is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26, at the high school. LHS faculty members Jennifer Cumbie, Tarska Duffield, Katie Pruitt, Cessali Williams and Jerri Kay Boyd are organizing the event.

Coach Boyd said she is advertising the run at Lufkin’s elementary campuses because they have running clubs and love to participate.

“Last year was our first year to do it and we needed a fundraiser that was going to encompass all of our clubs and try to get the kids involved, and do something different that’s never been done before,” Boyd said.

This year the organizers are going to change the shirt design just a bit and change the registration process.

Anyone interested in joining FCCLA or running in the Trick or Trot can contact Mrs. Cumbie in Room C212 for more information.
