Panther Pride, JV Drill present all-new Christmas Spectacular show Friday night
December 11, 2019

The Lufkin High School Panther Pride and JV Drill have been bringing holiday spirit through their annual Christmas Spectacular show for many years.
Director Johnna Walker, Assistant Director Caron Cook and JV Drill Director Debbie Hemphill have devoted their time to continuing the show as a tradition. They have been getting ready for the all-new 2019 version of Christmas Spectacular, which the dancers will perform this week.

“The girls have been physically training since August, throughout football season, which keeps them in shape, flexible and ready to learn new dances,” Cook said.
This year the directors decided to change things up a bit, wtih new dances, costumes, skits and props. The girls want to bring a whole new light on a whole new show that is an old-time tradition. Now being turned over to a new generation, the show is only expected to improve throughout the years to come.
The directors said they are not totally sure what to expect with the new show, but they hope it will be a cute, fun and interactive show for families.
