LHS choirs present 2018 Christmas concert on Tuesday night

Lufkin High School choir director Nicole Stewart said she is excited to see her students perform in their annual Christmas concert on Tuesday night.

They have been preparing since the middle of October for the concert, which will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium. It is free to attend.

“It’s a great way for students to come see and support their friends,“ Stewart said.

The concert is expected to last about one hour and 10 minutes.

There will be old Christmas songs that everyone is familiar with, like Silent Night, Jingle Bells and Feliz Navidad, along with newer ones, foreign language songs and an English folk song from the 1500s that people might not have heard before.

Students who will be performing include Adam Awtrey, Emily Bagwell, Elijah Barney, Latavion Benton, Ana Bravo, Crystal Brooks, Riele Brown, Phillip Callaway, Emma Carlile, Colin Carver, Graham Childers, Anna Clay,  Zoe Christopher, Katelyn Clifton, Sierna Crain, Ra’Miyah Cranford, Nairobi Cross, Koryn Currier, Kayley Daniels, Chesa Delane, Jazlynn Deltoro, Makia Dewalt, Makayla Doggett, Ciara Dolman, Kaylee Duckworth, Laterian Edens, Garrett Gipson, Madeline Gipson, Lizbeth Gonzalez-Andres, Alyssa Grimes, Jayden Hicks, Jurnee Hicks, Alexander Hill, Crystal Hilton, Paige Hoelewyn, Reatha Hollingsworth, Alasia Johnson, Janiah Johnson, Mason Langlinais, Hannah Lewis, Victoria Martinez, Mikaela Matthews, Kori Matthews, Shelby McClure, Madeline McCollum, Ryan McKelvey, Chazton Moore, Aaron Murray, Sierra Peel, Karen Ramirez-Salequero, Guadalupe Sarabia-Rangel, Lorelei Shultz, Aleckxander Smith, Samantha Standley, Lena Tate, Carson Wojasinki, Kirsten Wilson and Mark Zuniga.
