On Monday, the Lufkin baseball team scrimmages at Huffman Hargrave at 1 p.m. The softball teams will scrimmage Henderson with JV at 4:30 p.m. and varsity at 6.

On Tuesday, the boys basketball teams host Marshall on Senior Night. Purple plays at 5 p.m., followed by JV at 6:15 and varsity at 7:30.

Also on Tuesday, the girls basketball team has its bi-district playoff game at Longview’s Pine Tree High School against the (Texarkana) Texas Tigers. The team plans to avenge the loss the Tigers handed the football Panthers back in November. The Lufkin girls enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed in District 16-5A, boasting a record of 23-11 (11-3 in district play). Texas High is 14-10 (6-2), as the No. 3 seed out of District 15-5A. Tip-off is at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, the track teams run at Marshall’s Maverick Invitational meet. The powerlifters compete in Lufkin, and the softball team begins a three-day tournament across town at Hudson High School.

On Friday, the baseball team travels for a scrimmage with the College Station Cougars. First pitch is at 4 p.m.
