This Week in LP Sports: It’s another full week, weather permitting

On Monday, the softball team hosts a scrimmage versus the Lovelady Lions at Morris Frank Park. First pitch is at 4:30 p.m. Additionally, the varsity baseball team travels across town to scrimmage with the Hudson Hornets. Their first pitch is at 5.

On Tuesday, the basketball teams travel to Tyler for games with the Lions of John Tyler High School. The girls JV and boys freshman teams tip off at 5 p.m., followed by girls varsity and boys JV at 6:15. The girls sophomore and boys varsity teams tip off at 7:30. Additionally, the soccer teams play Hallsville. The girls host the Bobcats at 4 p.m. and 6, and the boys play on the road at the same times. The JV baseball team scrimmages the Hudson Hornets, with first pitch at 5 p.m.
On Wednesday, the girls golf team goes on the road to play at the Bullard Invitational tournament.
On Thursday, the powerlifting team competes against the Lumberjacks in Diboll at 4 p.m. What’s more, the JV boys golf team travels to Nacogdoches to play in the Dragon Invitational tournament.
On Friday, school is out, but sports are still in full swing. The varsity tennis team travels to play the John Tyler Lions, time TBA. The softball teams play a scrimmage doubleheader against Livingston. JV’s first pitch is at 2 p.m., followed by varsity at 4. The baseball travel to scrimmage with the PN-G Indians in Port Neches at 4 p.m. The boys basketball teams play in Hallsville versus the Bobcats with freshmen at 5 p.m., JV at 6:15, and varsity at 7:30. Additionally, the soccer teams play the Whitehouse Wildcats. The girls play at home at 4:30 and 6 p.m., and the boys play on the road at 5, 6:15 and 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, the JV Purple and Gold teams scrimmage each other at Morris Frank Park at 11 a.m.
