This Week in LP Sports: Panthers, Lady Pack basketball teams continue district play

The first full week of the new year involves basketball and soccer for LHS.

On Tuesday, the girls and boys basketball teams travel to take on the Jacksonville Indians. Both JV teams play at 5 p.m. The boys Purple team plays at 6, and the girls and boys varsity teams compete at 6:15 and 7:30, respectively. The girls sophomore team also plays at 7:30.

Additionally on Tuesday, the girls soccer teams host the Hudson Lady Hornets. The JV team plays at 4 p.m., with varsity following at 6.

Thursday through Saturday, the girls soccer teams host the annual Lady Pack Showcase tournament. Also Thursday through Saturday, the boys teams travel to Longview for a tournament.

On Friday, the girls and boys basketball teams host the Whitehouse Wildcats. The JV teams play at 5 p.m., followed by the boys Purple and girls varsity teams at 6:00 and 6:15, and then the girls sophomore and boys varsity teams cap off the night with games at 7:30.
