The Lufkin Lady Panther softball team had big hopes of celebrating Senior Night with a possible upset of Kingwood.

But the Mustang bats were too much fot the Lady Pack to rally and win, with Kingwoods power hitters blasting two-run home runs each, it was just too much for them to over come in the end of the game.

Lufkin senior Bianca Jasso made the most of her final home apperance in a Lufkin uniform, accounting for three of the Lady Panthers’ four runs with a solo homer in the fourth and a two-run double in the fifth. Senior Natasha Vigil drove in the final Lady Pack run with an RBI single in the sixth, cutting Kingwood’s lead to 10-4. But the Lady Mustands tacked on a five-run seventh to seal the win.

Prior to the game, coaches and fan recognized seniors,Bianca Jasso, Natasha Vigil, Lindsey Lyles, Nicole Castillo, Blaire Reynolds, Shervonda Taylor, A’mya McVey and Monica Vasques.

The Lady Pack close out the regular season Tonight in Conroe at 6 p.m.
